Trade secrets
A trade secret is a company’s “secret sauce.” It’s the business information that makes the company’s products or services unique that must be kept secret so that others cannot discover it and benefit from having access to it. Trade secrets come in many forms, such as formulas, recipes, processing methods, diagrams, customer lists, pricing information, and sales and marketing materials. In instances where a company’s trade secret has been unlawfully disclosed, trade secret lawsuits are often necessary to protect the asset and recoup any losses stemming from the unauthorized disclosure.
Trade secret lawsuits are very serious matters because maintaining the secrecy element of a trade secret is critical to preserving a company’s competitive advantage in the marketplace and maintaining the legal rights provided under trade secret law. Attorney Bruno pursues trade secret lawsuits in Pennsylvania and New Jersey state courts and in federal courts under the Defend Trade Secrets Act (“DTSA”).
In addition to litigating trade secret theft lawsuits, Attorney Bruno also drafts non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), non-competition agreements, and employment contracts to ensure that her clients’ trade secrets are properly protected from the start.
